Cindy C. comment on Misty February 29, 2012 Wow, what a pretty dog! So life-like. It almost looks like you did sgrafitti to create this. |
Cindy C. comment on diversity February 29, 2012 Neat! Did you use black paint, pen, frit or liquid stringer as an outliner to create the mosaic effect? Thanks! Cindy C. |
Cindy C. comment on Blooming in spring February 29, 2012 I love how graceful it looks! |
Cindy C. comment on Bacchus Collection Luminaries -Willow February 29, 2012 Very delightful! I assume you used wine bottles for the rings? I have never fired any type of glass other than COE 90. I would love to experiment with fusing old bottles and such. Do you have any tips about upcycling you might share with me? I figure I will need to buy myself a bottle cutter. Also, have you ever fused glass from inside a picture frame? Is it similar to a window glass? Thanks for your advice! Cindy C. |
Cindy C. comment on art glass stand and hanging February 29, 2012 I like your piece! It's very unusual. How did you get the solder-like effect? |
Cindy C. comment on Christmas Tree Platter November 11, 2011 This is very pretty! Your tree looks so symmetrical. Did you create your own pattern for the tree form? Also, did you use an irridized green glass for the tree itself or did you sprinkle a frit or glitter over the surface of an opague green? I bought some glitter from Delphi but I have not experimented with it yet. Thanks for your reply! |

Very pretty! Did you use a COE glass on top of the bottles? I have read that COE's and float glass are not compatible with wine bottles. If you did use COE, and had no problem, that would be great! I'd love to combine the two. One can be much more creative, and it definitely adds much more interest.
