Bio

The 'Glen" Gallery is home to artist and sculptor Sue Bateson. Situated in the Lakes and Crater Country of Western Victoria in Australia.Glenormiston Gallery ("the Glen") is nestled in the lee of an extinct volcano in a fertile, green and verdant valley. The local environment around the Glen Gallery is so welcoming and inspiring that most of Sue's work relates directly to her local and the wider Australian environment, though some of her more controversial works are inspired by more politicial issues such as child brides and pollution. Sue has exhibited work Internationally in China,Saudi Arabia and widely within Australia and has works in many private collections worldwide. Working in Glass, both slumped and cast, plus painting and sculpting in stone, wood and porcelain, makes for a busy life for this retired art teacher and gallery owner. Glenormiston Gallery is open for special exhibitions and by appointment.
