DianeS comment on Basic Soldering Techniques October 2, 2011 I am using 5/64" hobby came around some pieces and I'm finding that using the 60/40 solder, the came is melting. I'm barely even touching the lead! Is there a better solder that I could use with the hobby came? |

DianeS comment on Finishing and Framing September 25, 2011 When using hobby came around a foiled piece (like a sun catcher), should the foil be trimmed away from the outside edge since the came won't cover it entirely? |

DianeS comment on Lead Tips September 11, 2011 I plan on using spooled 5/64" hobby lead around some small pieces. Does this lead need to be stretched and does it need to have the glazing compound or something? Or is it just wrapped and soldered at the seams? Thanks so much for your help! |

I have a large panel that I'd like to hang in my window. What is the best thing to solder onto it to hold it and where exactly should I solder it? Should I just solder the chain to the frame or use some sort of 'jump ring', and then attach the chain to that? Thank you.
