Ilene Layow - LIfe’s work - Artist / Teacher. Education - Syracuse University BFA; Syracuse University MFA; Lemoyne College CAS. Experience - ART TEACHER - Syracuse City Schools: 1991 - present. ART CURRICULUM WRITER: Syracuse City School Dristrict, 2002-03 2008-09. Favorite media - Glass, Acrylic, Pen & Ink, Clay, Pencil, Pastel, Garden Vignettes - I love creating murals, portraits, glass and ceramic bowls, jewelry, wall & window pieces and sculptures. My favorite thing to do is to create, share and teach art to others. I enjoy working with color, texture, shape and form. My personal abstract artwork is a combination of the elements above and landscape studies which I call “formscapes”
