I'm retired, and just started this hobby in August of 2011. My youngest brother taught me the craft, so what I know can be credited primarily to him. I am located in the country in SE Iowa. We are in the process of setting up a website at glassweloveglass.com This is all new(the website) so it may be a little rough for a while.
Pros I really like these bevel clusters, especially this one. They are well made and fun to assemble.
Cons I had trouble with the first bevel clusters I put together. Laying the cluster out, and then fitting the pieces of glass into the open spots is quite a challenge. My solution to this is to foil the bevels, and just tack them together with a spot of solder. Then they stay in the proper shape while you fit the inside pieces.
Other Thoughts I put this together for my wife-it turned out great. I made a square "frame" with granite and zipper dichroics. Then I used red and greens for the inside pieces except for the ones closest to the center. For those I used dichroic sheet of glass. I will post a picture in my gallery for anyone interested.
Speed Balls
These things work great. When used in combination with a waffle grid, you can score and break glass so quickly and easily it is unreal
