I also use it to lay my cut pieces together on so I can get a peek at how the finished panel will look in sunlight--only works for small panels, though.

Works great when you turn up the solder temp and take your time to make smooth lines. Healthier alternative to lead when you've got kids around.

Cons
Costs more than lead solder.

Handy to have around when you want a quick fix for burrs etc and don't want or need to use the big grinder--just remember to use it with water!
