Bio

I was born and raised in Switzerland. For several years I worked in the business world before moving to Canada. I didn't get involved in the art aspect of my life until I had my four children. Originally, I started off in Folk Art and immediately felt a very strong connection and passion towards art. I enjoy painting on newer pieces of wood or stripping down old furniture, refinishing it and then painting it. Along the way I became fascinated with stained and fused glass. I find it such a versatile medium. You can create anything you like and it seems there are no limits to it. I enjoy creating different color schemes; from rich, neutral to subdued colors giving an organic look to my work. I recently completed a year of art school where I was fortunate to work with different kinds of media like painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpting, printing etc. This was a very valuable year for me as I'm able to integrate many of the media into my current art.
