Bio

Alfred Taylo: Graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors degree in art. Currently President of Shelby Art Guild Association and previously Vice President of Shelby County Art Council. He currently participates with Shelby County Arts Fest, Shelby Art Council, Shelby County Art Guild adn "The Gallery".Alfred had a 3-Dweaving accepted in a Pennsylvania weaving exhibition in 1975. In 2008 he was select4ed as the county's representative to create the Shelbyh County ornament for the Indiana State Museum Christmas tree. Was 1st place over all winner of the 2009 Shelby County Arts Fest with a wire art bracelet. In July 2010, was chossen as 3rd place as Shelby County's best artist. Alfred has been working with stained glass for approximately 15 years. His first experience with stained glass was working with Roger Billings. After several classes, Alfred continued with this hobby under his own business name of Taylor's Stained Glass. In the early 2000s he opened a small shop in Metamora for a Christmas xeason. In 2008 he and two other artist reformed the Shelby County Art Guild and assisted in opening "The Gallery" downtown Shelbyville, Indiana. During the beginning stages of the Gallery, he was introduced to wire art jewelry, an art form he had admired yhears before. Working with Virginia Tutterow, and attending William Holland School of Lapidary Art, Alfred has expanded he interessts and talents in Wire Wrap Jewelry Design. He now works under a new business name of aba-creations.
