Bio

ME and MR Glass are two artists, Margaret Ellen and Matthew Ray, who specialize in upcycling ordinary bottle glass into original and unique art pieces. Every time we open the kiln, we are further inspired by the myriad possibilities in the natural and organic beauty of glass bottles. Our repurposed creations—from our neck-ring chandeliers to our cut-glass bowls—give new purpose and aesthetic to what most nonchalantly toss out without looking twice. The mosaics, by Margaret Ellen, are made from tiles, found objects, recycled glass, concrete and beads. Our pieces are an exploration of the seen and the unseen, of the movement inherent in spaces.
