Ameigh Bishop's Hand Etched Artisian Dicroic Fused Glass Studio's Profile
Bio
Welcome to the intricate world of Ameigh Bishop's art glass. We hope you will enjoy this colorful exhibit of art inside the glass. Ameigh's studio is currently based out of her home in Statesboro, GA. She has been working with dichroic glass for over 10 years. A period in which she has developed a proprietary method for creating images on dichroic glass. Currently, she is exploring the documentation of transition through our man made and natural worlds. By using images of pathways and roads to symbolize the journey all things take through life. Juxtapose images of buildings, landscapes, oceans, clouds, and
flowers found to represent the tug-of-war between the artificial and natural. Particularly inspirational to Ameigh are brightly colored flowers, variegated leaves, lush tropical environments, and abundant greenery. All symbolizing new growth in our personal lives. Other themes that one may find present are images depicting current events. These are usually bugs, bombs, explosions, circuit boards, batteries, peace signs, and masses of overgrown cellular structures. However harsh these images may sound, they transform into a beautiful pattern or intense texture for a piece of artwork or jewelry. Adding a layer of depth to Ameigh Bishop's art glass that inherently brings out a little creativity in all who experience it.
