Wolfgang Mueller's artistic career began at the early age of 14 in New York City, NY working for his father, a commercial artist. Wolfgang attended the NY city School of Industrial Art and later while working as a commercial artist at HRB Singer Inc in State College, PA, attended Penn State University. After a few years he moved to Philadelphia, PA and was hired as a staff artist for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Around 1965 Wolfgang was offered a position at the pharmaceutical company of SmithKline&French where he later became art directore for their international divison. While in Philadelphia he attended the Museum School of Art which is now known as the University of The Arts where he also occasionally served as a guest instructor. In 1968 Wolfgang and a partner formed the graphic design studio of Mueller & Wister which after some years morphed into a small advertising agency and the Inc. was added to the name.
Working in conjunction with his talented Mueller & Wister Inc. staff and their superior clients, Wolfgang has received many local, national, and international awards for communications and graphics excellence. In July of 2004, Wolfgang retired from M&W Inc.. In 2012 Wolfgang's wife Pearl talked him into attending a glass fusion class in The Villages, FL and he she have been hooked ever since.
