Bio

Federico Art Glass is dedicated to creating beautiful and functional pieces reflecting my own design sense and the environment of the Pacific Northwest As a glass artist I am exploring every creative avenue with an ever-growing sense of excitement and wonder with the amazing variety of results I can get from fire and glass. • My Primary focus has been plates, platters, and various bowls and such in bold, geometric patterns and color combinations that catch my interest. • I'm also exploring the potential of frit and enamels as incorporated decorative elements. • I am currently accepting commissions for single pieces and sets. My current focus: My recent work has been focused on complex geometric tiling and repetitive color patterns. This work has been particularly challenging and requires a fair bit of cold working to perfect the pieces. I have been incredibly pleased with the results and have developed so many more ideas to explore in this direction. My work has been so satisfying and fulfilling that I can’t wait to see the next one. Fused Glass is the artform I discovered late in my life, and I am so involved and engrossed in the process I want to just live in my studio. I am always happy to discuss any custom work and matched sets of glass ware and dinner settings.
