Bio

Solly is an educator and mosaic artist, based in Ashland, Oregon, USA. He produces glass mosaics that depict natural scenes, both intimate and expansive, that focus on the natural role of fire and water in the vanishing native landscapes of Western US. He has earned top awards in mosaic and all-media competitions and has been invited to exhibit and present at mosaic conferences in Europe, Turkey, Australia, and USA. His work has been featured in several books and on book covers, trade journals, popular art magazine and advertisements for art competitions and organizations. He has served as artist-in-residence at Crater Lake National Park, Uroboros Glass, and Olive Stack Fine Art Gallery.
