Bio

Karen S. Sullivan graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1982. Between raising 3 children and working in the graphic design field for many years she still managed to keep focused on her art. Her primary focus for several years was the art of Batik, a medium in which she won several awards. Her current focus, however, is Polymer Clay sculptural pieces as well as Fused Glass in the form of Funky Junky Fused Glass windows. The two meduims being miles apart still manage to overlap in the ecletic combination of patterns, textures, inclusions and sometimes even subject matter and materials. Her studio is a hodge podge of raw materials (or as others see it, junk). One never knows what she is going to drag in, transform and give new life to.

have a bottle cutter that isn't very good. Had planned to do some of these same projects but when this cutter proved to be too difficult to use I gave up.

 Thanks!  It's a lot of fun to do as I am free of most of the restrictions imposed by stained glass construction.
