Bio

I began working with stained glass around 1981, when I was hired by a company called Campbell & Hightower in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. I had some experience with glass etching, and they trained me in leaded stained glass and beveling. Most of our windows were sold to go in new houses. I later went to work for a family-owned business called Meaders, where I learned new techniques from their very talented artists. At first I did a lot of custom work, but it progressed to more production work that I grew to dislike. I moved on to work for Michels Tiffany, a small glass shop also in Fort Worth, Texas. The owner was very talented in making stained glass lamps, and although I never got much practice in making lamps, I was quite pleased with the pieces I did while working there. When I left Michels Tiffany, I decided to try my hand at the floral business and did not do stained glass again until 1987 when I worked for a lady in Azel, Texas for a few short months. I then became pregnant with my daughter and got out of the art for a long time except for a few pieces for family and friends. Now, 25 years later, I have decided to take it up again. My life has led me to a wonderful husband in the Netherlands and I have brought my art with me here.
