Bio

I live both in Southern Arizona and in Mexico, near the border. The American SW has a very rich blending of Mexican, Native, and Anglo Culture. I'm heavily influenced by Day of the Dead, religious Mexican icons, Frida Kahlo, and Sugar skulls. Mexico is very rich in tradition and modernity, and the people and the colors here affect me in a very creative way. I started doing mosaics about one year ago, after taking a class at an art studio I attended when I lived in Tucson. I was doing other types of art, and learning mosaics enhanced what I was doing. So, the art is beginning to sell, and gain interest, and this is good.
