I was just saying last night: "when the anticipation of peeling off the pattern and slipping the piece into place, and seeing how it looks, fades; then I suppose I will quit doing glass." even as I grind piece 315 of a 350 pice project, the anticipation is almost unbearable. I slip the piece in place, admire it for a moment, and move on to the next section. I LOVE this craft.

initially, I was not moved by this piece, but the more I look at it, the more it draws me in. design-wise, it is brilliant. And 700 pieces... wow. congrats, the award is well deserved.

Pros
I bought mine in 2005 and have worked it hard, sometimes running it continuously for a couple hours. She is still going strong. It is lightweight, easy to clean (yes, you have to remove the bit to do so, but really, is that difficult task that requires more than about 3 seconds?), and the work surface is large enough for all but very large pieces of glass. it will fling grinding debris along the back unless you put something up. I have mine sitting in an aluminum drip pan (for ovens), and am using a piece of white plastic corrigated cardboard (home depot, with the signs and lettering, or office supply, with "for rent" signs) standing up around it, which cleans very easily. the action on the grinder is smooth. I love this machine. I have been completely satified with this.
Cons
none really, that I can think of.
