Juliannes of California's Profile
Bio
Julie Grossman has always loved art and continues to hone and refine the gift she was given. She is a passionate artist; teaching, learning and creating works of heart in oil painting, water color, stained glass, mosaic, silver metal clay, fused glass and sculpture mediums. Her work is primarily realistic reflecting her vision and insight for color, style and placement. She especially enjoys rendering human or animal life. The unexpected is expected. She is awed by her surroundings in Northern California where she was born and now lives. A love of learning combined with determination causes Julie to experiment with new techniques and media that she loves to pass on to her students. She has taught art since 1973, but in February of 2010 founded Juliart School where students feel welcomed and at home in an atmosphere of creativity, comfort and fun. We say, "It’s the least expensive therapy around." There is private and beginning through advanced art instruction in a variety of media. The open studio is either for the artist who has the ability to create projects on their own with a little guidance or to build on skills already learned. Cabochon Key Ring
This is a popular item. A great man's gift. Keys stay on. It is beautiful, functional and I like the simple sleek style. The depth is great because you have have a quarter inch cab in there.
It's not really a con to me but you have to grind the edges to get a perfect fit down inside. The grinding doesn't show once it is glued into place.
I use epoxy to glue the cab in and heat it in the open at 275 degrees for 20 minutes so the glue hardens. Then I wait 24 hours before it can be used.
