Bio

Hi My name is Jackie and I have been breaking dishes for about 40 years or more... I have been a mosaic artist for 11 of those years. I was a clumsy child and therefore I decided to work on my strengths not my weaknesses. I was REALLY good at breaking things! The rest as they say is history and no child has ever gotten in trouble for breaking dishes at my house. My motto is " Don't trash em! Let's smash em!" I have shown many people "The Way" when it comes to Mosaic. I taught myself this art with trial and error and I read books all the time for new inspiration and techniques. When I started teaching to others I would be asked " What are the rules?" I taught myself and I have never been much of a rule kind of gal so I would just reply" Rules? You mean there are rules?" Oddly enough I have had very few if any complaints on how I teach and I must say that I have been cut far more times than all of my students combined!My first attepts were sad but I have developed my own style of Mosaic and I am proud to be a Mosaic Artist!
