4 x 4 Emerald Fusion on Thin Clear - 90 COE

4" x 4" Emerald Fusion on Thin Clear - 90 COE

Item# UTCEF
More purple than emerald, March 19, 2009 2 stars
Pros
Has a pretty swirly large scale pattern.
Cons
Base glass is not uniform enough, has a bunch of stretch marks that are going to cause bubbles when fused.
Other Thoughts
The piece I got was more purple than emerald. We'll see how it fuses.
2 Oz Multi Color Millefiori Assortment - 90 COE

2 Oz Multi Color Millefiori Assortment - 90 COE

Item# 85802
More opaque than other mix, March 19, 2009 4 stars
Pros
This mix has more opaque canes than the other mixed millefiori 90 COE offered on Delphi. I ordered this mix to have a wider range of colors. Lots of opaque red in my baggies--nice.
Cons
Neither mix sold has a complete range of colors. My advise is to order some of each 90 COE mix offered (ie order both items 85811 and 85802 to get more choice.)
Other Thoughts
A nice mix.
Small Copper Plated Tube Bail - 5 Pack

Small Copper Plated Tube Bail - 5 Pack

Item# 704018
You get what you pay for, March 19, 2009 3 stars
Pros
Cheap, about a buck per bail
Cons
They look cheap. I wish they had used thicker copper to make the bail.
Other Thoughts
Maybe I can fuse the bail between layers instead of gluing it.

Another Versatile Mold, January 1, 2009 4 stars
Pros
Yields good leaf components to use with the other Colour de Verre flower molds. To really use these molds, you need to buy Jayne Persico's book on Glass Kiln Casting. I really only got into these molds after I took a class with Jayne, and she showed us some examples of what you can do with the molds.
Cons
You have to follow the directions carefully. Each mold has specific directions for fill weights that require a digital kitchen scale, and a specific type of primer for the mold (Hot Line Primo primer). To use the mold, you also need to have these other supplies/tools on hand and follow the firing instructions given.
