Bio

I am a crossover artist coming from acrylic painting to fused glass about 12 years ago. I create my landscapes now in fused glass and just love working with glass. I grew up in the Caribbean and sold and displayed my acrylic landscapes in Trinidad. In Manitoba, Canada where I now live I continue to create landscapes of rural Manitoba. My favourite technique is sgraffito where I create my drawings first by removing and making marks in black frit powder. After firing I apply my colour fields. My fine art pieces require 4-6 firings. I also create bowls, decorative ware, ornaments and jewellry in glass. My studio Painted Daisy Art Glass Studio is located in Balmoral, a tiny town in rural Manitoba, Canada.
