Pros : This is a must have. It catches all the little shards and keeps them from marring my table. We also reuse all those little bits in small pieces - dichroic glass is expensive and we use every last shard!

Pros : This isn't rocket science. I use one grid under my grinder and one for my cutting surface. It catches all those nasty little shards. You know, the ones that stick in your fingers when you accidentally wipe your hand across the work table.
Cons : None!
Other Thoughts : I've used the same 2 grids for years. Occasionally I carefully carry them out to the trash and dump them out. Follow up with a good spray with the garden hose and they're like new.
