Pros : Um...it does kind of give a layered white effect.
Cons : It shocks a lot. It separates and looks like white soap. It kind of blisters (forms little tiny bubbles close to the hole) sometimes.
Other Thoughts : I use a fiber blanket to cool my beads. A kiln could be used to pre-heat the rod which might reduce the shocking. Annealing might also help the bubbles. I would be interested to see someone else's comments.
