Beadmaking Basics Workshop 2

One Day Only: Jul 12, 2026

Where: Delphi's Lansing Creativity Center

When: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Experience Required: Beadmaking Workshop I class or some prior experience

Type of Class: Lecture, demonstration and hands-on

Class Description: Kick it up a notch (we promise it will be fun) with Beadmaking Workshop II . Add to your already awesome skill base learning how to pull and use one and two color stringers to make dots and flowers. Try a variety of hand tools for stretching, shaping and mashing. You'll be glad you tried this!

Safety: Please do NOT wear open toed shoes or sandals. Long pants are recommended but not mandatory. Natural fiber clothes are best, cotton, linen, etc. Long hair should be tied back. Safety glasses must be worn, glasses are provided in class if needed.

Tools & Materials Included: Glass rods, use of mandrels and torches, hand tools

Additional Tools & Materials: Students must bring 1 tank of MAP/Pro gas - (Delphi does not sell). Available at most hardware or big box home improvement stores. (yellow tank)

Great Class with New Skill-Building

Pros : Great class to practice making larger beads, pulling your own one- or two-color stringer, and adding dots and flowers, all under Val's positive and watchful coaching. Highly recommended even if you are not a beginner and just want a low-key refresher. You will take your beads home at the end of the session.

Fun Class

Pros : Great Instructor-She knew her art and all the supplies. She was patient with us as we learned.

Cons :

Other Thoughts : This was a fun class. I learned how to use a flame torch to melt glass into beads. The instructor had a great personality and had a lot of knowledge. Everyone had a great time. I can't wait to take another class.

Basic bead making 2

Pros : This class was awesome!! Additional techniques were added to what I learned in the 1st class. Pulling glass dots in the beads, pulling swirl lines creating directions, flowers and flattening beads. I had plenty of time to play with all the techniques. I’m excited to continue working on these designs in beads. This class was so helpful!
