  •   Finally something to my standards

Pros : Doesn't spatter or crack when drying, release didn't crack during flameworking and all beads came off mandrels easily.
Cons : Took a very long time to mix to get even consistency
Other Thoughts : After years of testing different bead releases, this is the best I have found and I plan on sticking with this brand from now on.

Pros : It works great! It coats the mandrel evenly if mixed well and it performs wonderfully in the flame. It releases the bead afterwards vary easily. It comes in a plastic bag so if any water gets out it will not get on the rest of your order.
Cons : It's black! After it goes through the flame it will become white in the bead but the rest of it is black and it makes a mess if you are not careful. The water will separate every time you use it which I think is common for all bead release but this is a big container so you are very much aware of it. You must mix it well or you will not get a nice coat on your mandrels.
Other Thoughts : The water will evaporate over time so if it starts to flake in the flame you might need to add some more water. Once I tried to tap some of the extra water off the mandrel after coating to create a thinner layer of coating and the beads would not come off the mandrel so make sure you have enough water in the mix.

Pros : very reliable product: doesn't flake apart in the torch, isn't too hard to remove bead later.
Cons : The product settles and needs to be re-mixed when you first get it. Not an easy job!
