Founder of Bullseye Writes Best Bottle Book Ever

Events and Contests

Boyce Lundstrom has been a well-respected name in fusing since the late 1960s. In 1974, he founded the Bullseye Glass Company.

Since then, he's published several books that have become essential guides for fusing artists.

His latest release, "The Best Bottle Book Ever" showcases whimsical art made from discarded bottles. He outlines technical aspects of cutting, breaking and fusing bottles, and addresses compatibility issues and firing schedules.

We're giving away the book! Along with the new G2 Bottle Cutter and a popular Bottle Sagger mold - an $85 value. It's our best bottle art giveaway ever! Enter our sweepstakes through Facebook April 21-23 to win the prize pack. (If you'd rather not enter through Facebook, you can enter here.)

The winner will be chosen randomly on April 24.

Our apologies for the technical difficulties with the Bottle Art Contest....the link should be fixed now. If you are still having trouble, please call our customer service dept. at 800.248.2048 (open 4.23.12 until 6 pm EST) and one of our reps will manually enter you into the contest.

I don't do facebook either, but love the bottle art. Have you seen the trailer for an upcoming documentary on stained glass lamps. It looks great. I put the link here for you. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/290613511/the-jim-forsell-story

@Mary C.; Dear Mary and others, our intention with this contest was to open it to our Facebook fans and provide an alternate form of entry for everyone else. The alternate form of entry was re-routing people back to Facebook - this problem has since been fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience, and if you are still having trouble entering, please call our contact center at 800.248.2048 (open until 6 pm EST) and one of our reps will manually enter you into the contest. Thank you!

The relatively small amount of comments posted here are from a very small number of people who hate the Facebook concept but there are millions of people out there not posting comments who hate Facebook including me and I am on it. As a company, you are limiting yourself in so many ways and alienating a large public resource if your only way of involving the public is thru Facebook. Better rethink this one, Delphi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait!

I wanted to enter the giveaway for the bottle art book and was happy to see that I could do it without Facebook but when I clicked on the optional link it took me to Facebook. What a disappointment! Terri

The alternative site still has you go through Facebook! How dumb is that?

I am in the same boat I don't want to have to join facebook to win! But it would have been a nice prize! I wish there was a way for non facebook people to enter! Oh well............ Good Luck to those that can enter!

I also don't prefer to enter on Facebook or connect to any of their apps, but would love to enter the sweepstakes some other way. Would love to learn how to do the bottle art.

I would also love to win the "Bottle Art", but I do not use facebook and do not intend too. Cann't we have a chance to win without using FACEBOOK. I made the mistake of going to a safe site for coupons, per the Today Show, and immediately began receiving hundreds of porno e-mails three years ago and I still get them today. Thankfully they now go to junk mail. SO I DO NOT WANT FACEBOOK or anything I would not want to use again. Please add a way to sign up for the contest without facebook. Thanks - Peggy

I'm another who hates FaceBook. I find it confusing and I don't trust it. I tried to enter this with the alternate link. It wanted my information and for me to download an app. They want this so they can flood my email with more promotions etc...I have a life, I don't want to spend time removing all this stuff. Please Delphi, if you're going to have sweepstakes, find a way for us to enter through your website without having to sacrifice our privacy and time. I'ld rather invest my time and energy in my glass work, not on the computer and these social networking sites. This looks like a great prize for the winner who likes bottle art. I know you do listen. The last time there was a sweepstakes I was interested in, FB was the only way to enter. I called and complained. I must not have been the only one. I was glad to see you offered an alternative. However, this Promo company still wants to invade us. Please try another solution. SAMantha

I really wish these sweepstakes did not have to be through facebook - I don't like "allowing" certain programs to access my information on facebook. It looks like a nice giveaway - I love to recycle bottles and would love to learn how to properly cut them. Good luck to everyone.
