Ellen DiGiglio's Profile
Bio
After retiring from a 37 year career as a teacher, I was looking for a hobby or a new activity to keep my mind active. It took me 8 years to finally decide that glass fusing was the activity. I learned about fusing from a class in Royal Oak, MI at the Creative Arts Studio. Glass fusing captured me and my soul. My dream was to own a glass kiln.
In May of 2021 I got my glass kiln as a birthday gift from my fantastic husband. It took until July to get the kiln up and firing. At first, I was afraid of the kiln. So, I finally took a class at Delphi from Roy. Then, I had the confidence and excitement to fire up my kiln. I have not stopped experimenting and creating. I have failures and successes. I have transformed my basement into a glass art studio. I even have an art gallery displaying my art.
So, I am a beginner fuser with a lifetime of learning to go. The journey has been the best and will continue on.
Thank you, to my husband and Delphi for making my dream come true.
