I have been working with glass for about 20 years, and love to learn and discover new techniques, color combinations, and designs. I especially love that glass allows me to experiment with different color combinations and visual textures. My inspiration comes from everyday life: nature, people, food, and stories.

Pros
These fire so shiny gold and nice, the leaf assortment is fun and these are easy to use. And very easy to use!

Cons
You have to fire your piece another time to fuse these on, although if you are slumping you might be able to do kill two birds with one stone.

Other Thoughts
When i first got them, they looked orange/brown and I thought they would not work. Once fired, the gold activates and they look stunningly shiny! The decal is clear coating that burns off during the firing.

Pros
This is so easy to use, and also allows for a super easy release. Application of this product also ensures the detail in your mold will come through the finished fired piece.

Cons
This is a little expensive, and addicting to buy/use because it works so well. Also you need to wear a mask and gloves when applying due to the aerosol and chemicals in it.

Other Thoughts
I haven't determined exactly how many uses each can gives me... this can was my first purchase and I am keeping track. I have about 1/2 a can left and so far have applied about 20 coats/molds. I may also be heavy handed as a first time user. Also I feel worth the price for detail molds due to the preservation. Regular kiln wash muddies the detail and eventually obscures it.

easy to use, one firing, beautiful dragonflies

Cons
none yet, the detail in the mold really comes through the finished product.

Other Thoughts
I used Zyp to prime the mold, as recommended, and the glass came out like a hot knife in butter.

Pros
Very unique shape, not a lot out there shaped like this and I've gotten quite a positive response.

Cons
You have to get a stiff small paintbrush to brush the cooked kilnwash off before re-priming. After several firings the texture of the mold will change otherwise.

Other Thoughts
The maintenance is easy and this mold is a creative way to use scraps, extra frit, or muirini glass!

Pros
Make your own custom frit, never waste scrap glass again! nicely sorts it into extra large, coarse, medium, fine and powder.

Cons
Breaking the glass up into frit is a messy affair and I still haven't perfected how to do this. Right now it's in a heavy duty plastic bag and smashed with a hammer on my garage floor.

Other Thoughts
I was on the fence about getting this initially but was so glad that I did! the custom frit combos I'm making are incredible. No scrap glass will go to waste ever again!
