Hi, My name is Dan and I have been fusing glass since May 27, 2025. My wife Diane and I took a fusing class with Val and we're hooked! I actually worked for Delphi around 1980 when they had a shop in Westland, Michigan. I taught classes and worked in the retail store. I have made stained glass on/off over the years, but really got back into it a couple years ago when I taught my daughter Chelsea to make stained glass. She has come a long way in two years and makes professional looking glass projects now, I'm very proud of her! I have been spending alot of time at the Delphi store to stock up my shop and can't wait to make more fused glass projects!

Pros
This pack is a great way to try beautiful Purple colors and a very resonable cost. These colors are normally very expensive but you get a great deal on these colors in this pack!

Pros
This kiln is very easy to use, including the TAP controller! The shelf is removable, so you can work on your project outside of the kiln and then just set it inside to fuse it! Another great feature is the "Cool Touch" design! When the temperature inside the kiln is at 1500 Degrees F the top of the kiln is around 120 Degrees F. This kiln design also reduces the distance the kiln can be installed close to walls or other objects. Delphi also offers a complete fusing package called The Ultimate Studio in A Box. This kit is a great deal, as you get everything you need to start fusing! The kiln also has the TAP 2 controller that is preprogrammed fusing schedules for both 90 & 96 COE glass.

Cons
If you have "Fat Fingers" you need to use end of pen cap to program the fusing schedules. However, still very easy to program!

Other Thoughts
Plan on purchasing the HS 24G kiln in the future, to handle even larger projects, as it is 24" x 24" and has 14" inside height!

Bullseye Black Opal Thin - 90 COE

Pros
This thin black glass works great for backing up clear CBS dichroic glass. I put the dichroic clear glass with the metal dichroic coating face down on the black glass and then the clear part of the glass "Caps" the final product.

Pros
This circle cutter with the rotating carbide cutter head works FANTISTIC! The suction cup mount holds great on my Bullseye glass (which is not always smooth) without moving. The rotating carbide head is a must as the carbide wheel is always inline with the cut, which gives a better score. The bar has an accurate ruler on the side for easy setup for any size circles. This is the easiest circle cutter I have ever used, well worth the money for a quality tool, that will last a lifetime!

CBS makes alot of different Dichroic glass items, you need to experiment with them.

This Fireworks Kiln Wash works great and is easy to use. You can mix up a large batch and just store in a jar for future use. Just stir it up well again and start painting!
