There are so many ideas for which it can be used whether to create a pattern and slump the glass over it or to create channels in pendants and other items that you might want to hang like chimes, ornaments, and suncatchers. After firing, when you remove it from the glass, instead of throwing it away, save it, because I'm sure there's a use for it - if anything to add some kind of mold compound to it to create your own mold - just an idea that came to mind - I'll have to try it myself one day. :) Also, you can make smaller channels by pulling the rope apart.
