Homasote board is ideal for glass soldering work. Safe to use re heat for the soldering iron.

Cons
Does stain and get dirty from flux, but that is just aesthetics.

This is an older video, so some of the shots are not as crisp as today's videos.

Other Thoughts
Tommy Does give lots of needed info for dealing with glass and lead came. Glass cutting is not part of this video. By the time you choose to work with lead came, basic glass cutting should already be a skill you have learned.

I use these for cutting stringers and glass rod. Works well. Wear glasses or goggles in case a few shards go flying. Wheels are sharp. Tool is easy to use

So far no cons.

Other Thoughts
Others warn re cutting thin glass. I have no opinion on this as I have not used this tool for that function. I am not into mosaics, so no thoughts for that issue either.
