The glass part of the sculpture is actually a stack of many long rectangular pieces of float/window glass. Each layered piece has a cross section of the design cut only on one edge. The other edge remains even where you are also able to view the refraction of the design through the stacked float glass.
The cleanly cut lines of the float glass reflects and refracts the light as you move while viewing the sculpture, creating a movement of the image within the glass.
I also work with stained glass, and in using my glass cutting skills was able to make this sculpture. So keep up the good work. Cheers Heather
