Pros
Reliably maintains heat on even long beads. Works well with many different solder types and melting points.

Cons
Handle gets a little warm when used for extended periods.

Other Thoughts
This is a great iron and worth the extra money. I have used mine for about 2 years without any problems. It heats up quickly and stays at operating temperature even while soldering long beads, allowing even and consistent beads.

Pros
Sample Sets are a great way to see what glass will look like before you buy and play with it in patterns. These samples are fairly large and are well labeled.

Cons
The packaging is not useful for storage.
