angelsun's Profile

Bio

PTP (Prior To Poodles), I worked as a Writer and Multimedia Design Artist in porcelain, polymers and cloth. Examples of my work can be seen at angelsunawares.net I still do the occasional stained glass piece and websites/graphics by special request and articles by editor inquiry. I've been working for a number of years with "Reborns" which involves totally revamping a manufactured vinyl doll so that it appears to be very lifelike. Several FREE tutorials are available at my website. I am currently working in doll costume design with a period flair. My work has been shown in museum exhibits and featured in the Debut section of Contemporary Doll Collector (Feb/Mar 1997), Dolls, Doll World, Soft Dolls & Animals!,on the cover of February 1997 Dollmaking, and many other publications.

Cool Accent!, June 15, 2010 5 stars
Pros
This mesh cuts easily, tins easily and solders easily. I was concerned about the diamond shapes filling in with solder over stained glass but it went on VERY easy. It was used in my project as spokes in a parasol. It's very economically priced and could be used in a variety of stained glass as well as other applications.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
Look for this mesh in my upcoming projects :)
Spectrum Champagne Soft Waterglass

Spectrum Champagne Soft Waterglass

Surprise!, June 15, 2010 5 stars
Pros
I bought this glass to add to my collection of pinks and almost sent it back as the color was so different from the color on my monitor. I ended up flipping it over to the smooth side and using it for flesh tones. It is the BEST flesh color that I've found. PERFECT!! Cuts easily and will definitely purchase again.
Cons
Color chip is WAY off on my various monitors. I would not list this under pinks but it is perfect for flesh tones.
Oceanside Clear with Green & Pink Fracture Streamers Hand-Rolled - 96 COE

Oceanside Clear with Green & Pink Fracture Streamers Hand-Rolled - 96 COE

Item# X1129
Beautiful, June 15, 2010 4 stars
Pros
In the right application, this is an absolutely gorgeous glass. It was perfect for my project and was used for a parasol with the rough side up. I would purchase again.
Cons
While it cut just fine, the flecks are not very deep down in the glass. There were many small pieces shattered with each cut. And despite taking extreme care, I ended up getting cut on the tiny shards. Ouch!
Other Thoughts
I'm saving every tiny piece for mermaids/fairies at a future date.

Love it!!, June 15, 2010 5 stars
Pros
This glass cuts easily and would be suitable for a variety of projects. It reminded me of silk, so I used it for a kimono and obi. My piece was mostly pink/aqua but very nicely balanced and worked out perfectly for my project.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
Would definitely purchase again!! I can also see this working out well for fantasy themes.
