My images celebrate the beauty and peace found in Nature, interpreted with a fresh, contemporary vision. My professional qualifications include: • an M.F.A. in glass sculpture and painting minor o Rochester Institute of Technology, School For American Crafts, Glass 1990 • a B.M. in music education: voice and strings o State University of New York, Potsdam College, Crane School of Music 1976 • 34 years experience as a fine artist • 27 years experience as an arts educator

Pros
Good size, solid construction should last for many firings, nice design. It did make a beautiful plate which I re-slumped to a bowl.

Cons
Takes a lot of time to fill the voids precisely with colored frit. Once fired, the mold held on a bit to the glass even with MR97. The back of the plate had too severe an edge and deep relief in the design...almost sharp. I used a diamond pad to soften the edges.

Other Thoughts
I chose to use all frit instead of using a solid top sheet. It turned out really well.

I love this...very happy, great energy! Thanks for explaining the spiral, koru, shape. It is beautiful as a visual, but means even more when the symbol is defined.

This piece is very spiritual...it got my attention above all the others. I feel as though I have been to this place before, like a past life. I am a fused glass artist near LA, but I am originally from upstate NY. I used to do only stained glass, and have done many mosaics, but your work is transforming.
