Feb. 2013~I am new to the stained glass. My very first project is my profile image. Aunt Gayle is an excellent teacher. It started with a vision of how to decorate two trapezoid windows on the river front of our retirement home. My husband drew our dream onto paper, wrote his Aunt a letter & dropped it in the mail. She had her granddaughter help put the pattern together for one side of the window & became overwhelmed with the size of the project. I encouraged her & my husband with the fact that I wanted to learn stained glass, would be willing to fly down to FL & work with her until I felt comfortable enough to complete on my own. Stained glass was always a vision of mine & now it is has become a reality. I can't wait to get back to MI to continue working on this massive project & hoping to complete it by the end of 2013.

While chatting with a Delphi Glass Expert, Steena, she suggested I use Mark Stay to keep the lines on the glass while grinding. It works wonderful. Love It! Very Successful! I only wish I had this right from the start.

Pros
More precise cuts, cutting shapes that would be impossible by hand without making more pieces or lines in areas that you don't want pieced. Shapes like doves, flowers, etc are easy to cut & I find there is less grinding using the Taurus Saw. One of the best purchases I have made!

I just bought the separable blade to experiment more with different projects....get more creative!

I love this color blue. I have used it in all "3" of my finished trapezoid windows display. "2" more of the panels will have it in them as well. It is easy to cut, a pleasant blue & looks lovely in the window.
