I have used it in underwater scenes for whale bevel clusters and other flower bevel clusters. Easy to use and love the movement created by the swirls in the glass.

Gorgeous, practical and useful in a number of projects

Cons
The antenna included did not solder well. I easily substituted pre-tinned copper wire.

Other Thoughts
I had planned to use the bevels in a panel, then I had an unexpected desire to use them for a light source for use next to an urn of my dear cousin’s special son that she had told me she had called “butterfly Ben”. While planning the candle holder, I found a wonderful pattern in a GST publication for a butterfly panel lampshade using this cluster. It was perfect. And delicately beautiful.

Pros
Sturdy, handy, project saver. Saves so much time going back and forth to the glass stacks or laying the glass down in a dangerous pile.

Cons
The wire prongs can come loose so I keep a glue stick with me during assembly and dip each end into the stick before attaching the tip and into the base.

Other Thoughts
The above technique is easy, cheap and reliable. I think I have 10 of these in my workshop because plan out several projects at a time. This gives me a quick way to identify which glass goes with each project.

Wonderful active design, the two toned glass adds great depth. I love all of the GST clusters I have purchased. The pattern is simple and very artistic.

Cons
None. I appreciate the pictures of completed bevel panels that demonstrate the use of art glass that add to the cluster’s beauty.

Pros
Easy to use, the patina blends well with the patina colors and technique I used on my Tiffany reproduction shade. Is heavy and sturdy. I use it with my 16” and alternate with an 18” shade for variety.

Cons
The only con I can think of is alas it is not an actual $2000 Tiffany reproduction base (sigh). But this base completely suits my needs.

The light mechanism is sturdy and dependable.

The Grinder

Pros
The splash shield with LED lights, the rubberized splash guard on the back of the surface, the convenient drawer to store grinder bits and tools, the raised platform for small bits

Cons
there is a bit of dismantling of the full size grinder head to be able to install the raised surface and smaller heads. The ground glass particles congregate around where the grinder head shaft is more than other grinders.

Other Thoughts
The quiet motor, the lighted large surface area are great selling points. It is a great grinder that greatly enhances visualization of the glass you are grinding.

This is one of my favorite bevel clusters and using glue chip, baroque and waterglass gives it a truly underwater effect. I have my panel posted in the Artist gallery if you are thinking of buying a cluster.
