@clb_1960 Sorry - my reply was cut off and I didn't notice. You may try coating with a layer of item no. 7404 Super Spray Overglaze. This product is clear, lead-free and matures between 1300 and 1700 degrees F. By capping the enamel label it may protect from burn-off during firing.
