The Skydiver

This is a fused glass panel measuring approximately 11 x 16".  It stands upright in a gallery table stand. The background has over 100 pieces not including frit and confetti.  The skydiver was made separately with a gray iridized glass (about 30 pieces) stringer.  Then it was tack-fused to the background to give the piece dimension.  I wanted the skydiver to look like a shadow.  My husband is a skydiver with over nearly 3,000 jumps.
