Nazca

An 8 inch bowl of purple fused glass with light and dark amber tentacle-looking trim. The body of the bowl has abstract designs in white stringer (thin strands of compatible glass) fused into the purple base. When I took the bowl out of its first firing, it reminded me of the Nazca lines in Peru ...where images had been mysteriously etched into the hard ground and  were discovered by pilots in the 1930's on a hydrographic  research survey. Hmmm, pictures that could only be seen by aerial view....yeah, we walk among you.
