Renaissance Chess Set in Stained Glass

Inspired by the regal look of the green and gold Van Gogh glass, I was able to combine my love of chess, antiques and stained glass together. I used clear dark green glass to compliment. The frame is an antique found at a flea market which I cut down and restored to a 26 inch square. I built a box underneath to house a set of holiday lights, it looks beautiful night and day. The board is an original design. I used a pattern by Dale Keating as a take off point for the pieces.
