Family Room Entry, My Daughters

0 loves
Description:

This is my first project.  I wanted to have stain glass between the entry into the house and the family room.  I filled in the opening with french doors and I had room for 4 interior windows.  I asked each of my 4 daughters what they would like the window to show to represent them.  I spent about 3 months learning about stain glass windows and I took about five and a half months putting them together.  I placed them between pains of clear glass to keep the grandkids from the lead.  They turned out great and I really enjoyed doing the work.  Delphi was great to work with, I also used a local art glass shop for produce.  I used patterns from Delphi on three of the four windows and on the last window I bought the precut glass for the horse.  It probably cost about $180 per window.  Each window is about 19 inches by 32 inches.

Love the concept! GREAT JOB on your pieces, and incorporating a memory of your children into your home. It is something that everyone will always treasure. You have my vote.
