Custom Coffee Table

A mother wanted to remember a moment with her children. This is a custom coffee table top. Picture 1 shows the completed table framed for transport along with the original picture. I fussed with how to lay this out and decided the children were the focus; the setting was beautiful but not needed in detail. Picture 2: The panels with the children are made with copper foil. Picture 3: project in progress: putting the panels together. The flat came is reinforced with Strong Line so the tabletop won't sag. Lastly, every project has a challenge. The glass was chosen for specific panels and I had none to spare. In the process of making the table, I broke one of the pieces of glass! I had to get creative. The broken piece is in picture 3. It shows up in the top left panel in picture 1.
