Island Music

This piece of art work was made by taking a hawaiian ukulele and taking a dremal to remove the face of it, and placing a lamp fixture inside of it.  I then took the size and demensions of the musical instrument and drew up a pattern.  I was motivated to make this particular pattern after a visit to the islads myself.  I was overwhelemed with the islands beauty.  I couldn't believe how deep blue the waters were and how green and colorful everything was.  Everything was so fresh and bright, it was paradise.  So in honor of the beautiful islands I made these fond memories into a very special souvenir of my own.
