Description:
This was a commissioned piece for a person who needed a privacy screen in the second floor bathroom at their new house. The original pattern, a single, framed “fleur de lis,” was purchased from Shutterstock and modified to be double-wide and fit the appropriate space of 24 x 50”. The fleur de lis is foiled. The reminder of the window is done in lead with "strong line" in places to add rigidity. The clear and smoky gray glass is muffle glass. The darker green glass is a single batch glass purchased at a local stained glass shop. (However, it's nerve-racking knowing that if you break a piece, there's no way to get more!) Of course, a few bevel pieces are needed for sparkle. It’s framed in oak for sturdiness.
