Raven 2

Raven 2, is two feet square framed. I wanted to create him life size and orginally to stand on top of my bookcase as you might see him outdoors. But, because of his weight and size it was better to make him fit into a two deminal form. He now hangs in my dining room in a north facing window.

The Ravens eye is a unique idea I use for adding sparkle to the creature's eye. I take a flat marble, on the back side of it I grind away 1/2 of the circle, on opposite sides, leaving a straight line of untouched glass, about 1/8" in the center of the flat marble. When the light shines through his eye sparkles.

When you think of a Raven you might naturally think he is black in color. But I see all colors of purple and blues glistening off his wings. And that is the way I have portrayed him. To me he glistens. Enjoy my Raven 2! He is not for sale.
