So here's the deal . . . I learned that I could engrave dichoric glass pieces using my Dremel tool. It was a bit rough at first, but I liked what I had - so I baked the piece of glass. It wasn't quite what I expected - but it was workable. After it cooled, I engraved a bit more where the design hadn't come through in the fusing process, then I topped it with clear glass and a few dichroic glass pieces of frit.
The main piece cracked, but you can still see the swirls I etched into the black. And I really like the frit against the purple dichroic glass. I'll call this one a happy mistake.
Pendant is a 2" long glass cabochon.
