Product Reviews
Pros
Great Variety
Good for all sorts of stained glass to add texture to the view
Cons
Other Thoughts
I used this glass in several projects. Love the colors which make it easy to fit into many different projects and add some depth to the colors.
Pros
This glass is simply outstanding for stained glass projects. It looks differently in the sun. The backing is dark so there is a front and a back.
Cons
Other Thoughts
This is just a stunning piece of glass and I used it as a frame on a large stained glass project. It was stunning and just really framed my project well. Love this glass
Pros
I love that this is 96 COE and Phenomenal for stained glass. Lots of uses, bold, brilliant colors
Cons
Other Thoughts
This is a great selection for any ROYGBIV project you want to do (Red, Orange, yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). It makes a great project when you cut it into strips and fuse into a project But also great in a stained glass project.
Pros
Beautiful!
Easy to Use
Adds a fun element
Cons
Other Thoughts
I never thought I was going to be a big fan of clear glass but after using this on this project, I really am. I am using more clear glass in my projects and this is a really great package.
Pros
easy to use
better cuts and control
nice work surface
Cons
Curves are not as easy
Other Thoughts
I love this cutting system and I have the flying beetle. It provides a clean and usable work space. it helps do better cuts whether for stained glass or fused glass. It is necessary if you want to have really accurate and quick cuts. I just don't have the ability to do the hand cuts as accurate. This gives you a good straight edge, whether at angles or straight. If you cutting small squares, this makes extra easy. Love the tool
Pros
Easy to Use
Great Results
Cons
Wish it had a drawer or attachment to store accessories
Other Thoughts
The hardest part of stained glass for me is the copper foiling process. I have tried lots of alternatives and this is the easiest and most accurate tool to use. It takes a bit to get started but once you figure it (go slow at first), you will be foiling like a pro and getting it done really fast. I can't say enough about how great this little tool is and how much it helps me create a better product! Love It. Worth every dollar spent on it.
Pros
Easy to Use
Pre Programmed
Can use regular current (electric)
Can sit anywhere (See details below)
Cons
Not big enough for some of my projects
have to realize that it is hexagon, so it doesn't do 15" across, more like 11"
Other Thoughts
This has been one of my best purchases ever! I love this kiln. I process 96 and 90 COE. it is pre-programmed but also has the ability to custom program. It is big enough for most home projects. I just love using this kiln.
This gives you the ability to be creative with smaller pieces and create bowls, plates, and other items. The height is plenty big for most items you would create as well.
When I got this, I was concerned about heat and placement. I talked to folks at Delphi and they provided great advice. We got fireboard from a hardware store. We got two pieces, one for the wall and one underneath the kiln. (Imperial 32 in. x 42 in. Type 2 Stove Board, Slate, BM0405) We also got cement blocks to put the kiln up a bit and utilized the furniture kit. Finally I got several thermometers to check ambient temperature around the kiln when I was running the kiln. The temperature barely moved and I was impressed at how little radiant temperature there was.
Pros
8x8 size of 5 glass squares
Cons
there was two pieces of clear in the pack, which is not a color!
Other Thoughts
I know that four pieces of glass are highlighted, yet I would never expect to get clear glass in a pack of glass. Colored glass cost more than clear, so I feel like I paid for something I didn't get.
