Painting with Glassline Class Details

Painting with Glassline

50 star rating (2 reviews)
One Day Only:

Where:  Delphi's Lansing Creativity Center

When:  3:00 pm - 6:30 pm

No prior experience necessary- fun for all!

In an exploratory environment, students will learn how to work with Glassline pens. Topics will include application methods, layering for a 3-D effect, and color mixing. Students will have the opportunity to work with a multitude of colors while making two projects. General patterns will be provided, students are welcome to bring ideas or draw their own! Due to class timing, patterns shouldn't be too complex or detailed. Pieces will be fused and ready for pickup after 1 week or shipped for a small fee.

All tools and materials are included- such as glass (for your base), Glassline pens, use of brushes, tips, dotting tools, paper, pencils, etc. As a finish to your project, a hanger can be fused in, or rubber coaster feet can be added.

Delphi recommends that you do not wear sandals or open toed shoes when cutting or handling glass. Students may want to bring a pen/paper for notes, and are encouraged to bring water.

See the cancellation policy.

Pros : Isabella is a good instructor. Definitely understood the basic concept when I left. Created two projects. Being able to dry the projects by the furnace after each step allowed for easy transitions between the two projects.
Cons : If you have carpal tunnel syndrome in an acute flare, the two projects may be too much for you.
Other Thoughts : I’m glad to have learned something new and to be able to experience the technique before committing money into supplies not used at home.

Pros : I loved all the technical assistance, the real time guidance, and all the resources. I had two finished products, which turned ok (I'm hard to please, lol) The instructor was generous and an expert in technique. I was over ambitious, but she helped me finish two pieces. The two pieces were fired and I learned a lot. Ready for my next attempt!
Cons : The paint itself is tricky and because it's used by several classes it can be inconsistent in its flow. But the trainer did a great job explaining it and how to adjust the flow.
Other Thoughts : This paint takes some technique and this class is great for the curious without any investment. I enjoyed my time and my final pieces. As always, Delphi is amazing.
