Cons :
Other Thoughts : Be sure to thoroughly clean your piece before using. I use Dawn dish soap to clean all soldered joints, then let the piece dry before applying patina.

Pros : This is a wonderful patina product. It goes on easily and creates a lasting,smooth dark patina. It is a wonderful product. I have been using this brand for years because of its lasting quality.
Cons : Sometimes it make take two coats to get the darkest shade you want. Be sure your zinc and solder areas have been cleaned first.
Other Thoughts : This is the brand my father used for years, and I am continuing in his footsteps!

Pros : My first time using a patina. It is easy to use and apply. The change is instant. Cleanup was easy and it did not stain the glass.
Cons : Very fluid and spills over the work area if you are not careful.

Pros : I have been using this product for years. I can depend on it to provide a consisted patina to either lead or solder. It always gives my work an "antique" look. I like the black, but it also comes in copper, brass & dove grey, I think.
Cons : I really have no complaints about this product. ;-)
Other Thoughts : We apply it with a cotton ball, held by a clothes pin so the solution does not get on our hands or clothing. Works GREAT!
